


The Celtic gods were mostly figures of fertility and nature, as the Celts initially worshipped totemistic animal figures and later adopted the concept of anthropomorphic deities.

Their most prominent legacy is the monoliths they left behind - cromlechs (the most famous being the stone circle of Stonehenge), dolmens and menhirs - these are believed to have served as burial mounds and sacred ceremonial grounds. The Celts lived in a wide area of Europe, from Northern Italy to the British Isles, Gaul and even modern-day Spain. If you wish to praise, please go ahead and do so.
